On February 6, two strong earthquakes of 7.8 magnitude occurred in Türkiye, many buildings were razed to the ground, and the earthquake felt all over Asia, Europe and Africa. At present, unpredictable people are still trapped in the ruins.
The earthquake touched the hearts of the whole world. On February 8, Türkiye's Embassy in Beijing issued a notice on earthquake relief and set up sites in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Hong Kong to receive relief supplies.
In the morning of February 7, the company received the invitation from the Consulate General of Türkiye in Türkiye and Turkish Airlines, and Guangzhou Xiyang Logistics Co., Ltd. coordinated the transportation of rescue materials. After receiving the invitation, the company actively responded and acted quickly, establishing an emergency project team consisting of five people as soon as possible.
In addition to being responsible for ground operations and air transportation docking of materials, team members are also responsible for answering 200 to 300 inquiries about material donations every day. On February 8th, the company received the first batch of rescue supplies. At 5:00 a.m. on the 9th, the first batch of materials collected in Guangzhou had been sent from Baiyun Airport to Türkiye, and successfully arrived at the disaster area in the morning of February 9th, Türkiye time.
The second batch of materials packed in the afternoon of February 9 also cannot be delayed immediately. From February 9th to 10th, the company has fully supported the transportation of up to 27 tons of earthquake rescue materials. As of February 12th this weekend, it is expected that approximately 200-250 tons of rescue supplies and goods will still need to be processed.
